The artwork for this cushion is a collaboration between new generation Indian Gond tribal artist, Roshni Vyam and lifestyle brand Iris. Roshni's vibrant and intricate paintings have been transformed into a unique cushion collection showcasing the traditional painting 'gondi bhitti chitrakala' of the Gond Pardhan tribe from central India. Translated 'gondi' is community, 'bhitti' is wall and 'chitrakala' is painting. Originally started on walls in villages it is now used on paper and canvas. Roshni began painting aged five, taking inspiration from her parents, both of whom are well-known artists and illustrators in India.
