Plastic Free July | Alternatives To Single-Use Plastic

Plastic Free July

Plastic Free July is a global movement that encourages millions of people to be part of the solution to the plastic pollution that blights our oceans, our communities and the wider environment. Plastic Free July has inspired over 120 million participants in 177 countries. Begun in 2011 in Western Australia it is now one of the most influential environmental campaigns in the world

Unfortunately, the covid pandemic sweeping the world will result in a huge rise in the amount of single-use plastic being discarded but as individuals small and easy changes in our habits and behaviour will collectively make a massive difference to the amount of waste being generated in our communities.

Food on the go results in a large amount of plastic waste littering our streets, beaches and countryside but here at Yours Sustainably we have plenty of inexpensive, innovative, reusable alternatives that are ideal for all ages and make great 'Gifts That Matter'.

Avoid the use of plastic bags, clingfilm and tin foil by switching to washable sandwich wraps and lunch bags. Reusable natural beeswax sheets can also be used to wrap rolls and sandwiches.
